The max residences is correctish, actually. It gives your max residence WITHOUT looking at supporter status. For example, it gives "2" for me, as I can claim 2 residences without having supporter (for old EMC history reasons).

Hi Fadeddd! Nearly a year but here's a reply. I looked into the max reses thing. It's technically correct. If you were to unclaim all your residences, you'd only be able to claim one. There is a way to get the residence list, but I'd need to cache it and I haven't got the time to set all that up. I might in the future look adding a current residence count though.

Perhaps it could be done by taking the current amount, and adding 1 for gold supporters, 3 for diamond supporters, and 4 for moderators? :) I'm mot sure how max residence vouchers work, but they aren't common and I would expect them to add to the current count, and therefore not be an issue. :)
