Because we are a survival server with the intention being the player putting in manual work to complete an action, such as building instead of printing. Printing would be classified as more of a creative server ability.
Schematica has an option available that allows you to just stand nearby as the blocks are taken from your inventory and placed precisely (without you having to manually place them). This option is not allowed to be used on EMC.

Basically, if you do something that seems impossible for a human to do, it's not allowed by default on EMC. The printer function of Schematica, for example, can be seen as a direct player advantage. Anything automated with little-to-no player interaction as such is disallowed.
I've had an alt banned before for afk fishing -- I want to bring that up because it's a perfect example of how unfair player advantage ties into automation and why that's disallowed. (It's also a personal example of me moving on and learning from it, looking back so I don't make the same mistake again.)
