I'm against lies. If a thread is not official and yet you put it in the title, then that's a lie. :P

It also has a bad effect: people might not be able to tell what threads are actually official. But in the case of EMC that's usually not a problem, as official threads are pinned to the homepage and sometimes even to the forum section they're in, and their OP's are a lot more professional than the OP's by these people that lie or joke about it being official. :P

Oh okay! What's your definition of official? From what I've read it seems like official threads can only be posted by important/professional people.

Yeah, 'official' in this contest 'should' mean that it is authorised; in this case, the authority is EMC. So official threads are either posted by Krysyy or Aikar or personally approved by either of them. :)

Then again, maybe I am too strict on this. I am not sure if EMC's Official Art Thread was originally authorised by any of the admins. However, it did get pinned, so now it certainly is official. In any case, I don't like it when 'some player' (no matter who, unless it's staff) makes a thread about anything and just calls it 'official' as if they are in charge.

(the Official Art Thread wás posted by a moderator, by the way, but I'm not sure if that matters)
