And the only good Maroon 5 album is Songs of Jane, and I still play that album. Grew up with that one. Their performance was a disgrace to the pop and rock industry. Especially travis scott and BIG BOI. God what wastes in rap. The entire half-time show tried to be a failure. And the worst is that it sounded fine the first few minutes.
NFL doesn't like metal bands because no mainstream audience wants to hear that. Metal is an acquired taste and even then a lot of people won't like it. They'll take what's popular to please most of their crowd - this year that happened to be a proggy rap song and Adam Levine's nipples.
But Panic At The Disco would fit the bill of rock and mainstream. I Write Sins is the heaviest the NFL would go. If P!ATD were to do the half-time show, it would probably be one song from each of their 6 albums, unless they decide to release another album between now and the next two super bowls.
That wouldn't be perfect. It's all in the details, see. We need Brendon Urie to jump off the top of the stadium, Lady Gaga-style, playing a guitar-heavy song. The song ends, he's pooped his pants on the way down, and he's plonked gently atop a grand piano, where he'll play a piano-focused song. From there it doesn't really matter.
