I'm not sure of all the details in what happened here, but I would say it's probably better if you let it go. It's Storm's decision to give you permission to their res.
Are you sure your intentions were clear when you asked for build flag? Helping them out by explaining how to create an access sign may be a better option if someone is unwilling to give you permission.
