Well, usually the stereotype is dogs chase mailmen. Perhaps that is wrong, and mailmen are just afraid of other people's dogs. :P

A deliverywoman from Amazon happened to be at our gate while I was outside, and she was delivering a movie to me. She saw Diesel - a puppy - practically threw the movie at me, screamed, jumped back in her car and drove off.... There. Was. a. Gate. And she still reacted this way.

Hey, as a former paper boy who has owned a dog for pretty much his entire life and isn't afraid of them in anyway whatsoever, I can tell you now that other people's dogs are VICIOUS. Nearly had my fingers ripped off every week by someone's little yappy dog who used to grab the paper from my hand as I slipped it through the letterbox. Your deliverymen are totally right to be afraid of a puppy.

True, but there's no reason to throw a package at my face and haul off our property like that. It was behind a gate, and the gate was 5 feet taller than the puppy. There ain't no way that dog was getting over the fence.

I can add onto what Synth said. I'm not afraid of dogs, I'm afraid of other people's dogs

Oh- and our mailbox is not inside of the fence... also no reason for them to fail to deliver things to the mailbox because of the dog...

Ah. I see. In that case, it's inexcusable.

Totally forgot mailboxes are a thing in America too :P

Also I meant my above comment in a half-joking manner, just reread it and it seems like I'm being condescending. Sorry if you did actually take it that way :P
