It's the hardest thing to do but the short answer is to ignore them. It will be tough and they might keep doing it but people like this feed of your response and when there is none they tend to move on.

Tell the friend to /ignore the bullies.

If someone is being bullied on EMC, you should definitely report it. If it's happening on social media, block the person/people.
