Another question, were alts allowed?

Each person can join once every year (if there's a free number left) until they win.
You could use an alt, but that would mean you would not be able to use your main, and both your alts and your main would not be able to join anymore after that.

The wait between each contest is so long though xD
So that means using more than one account in a contest would get you banned from future contests?

Yes, it would. But whatever you do: you can only win once.
That's because the main prize is the Piwi certificate, and as the terms say you can't give it to other people and thus not sell it, it doesn't have any use having multiple of them.

So this year Alice couldn't join, next year both Alice and Rhythmically can't.
And I never can because I wrote the book myself :P
