I'm still doing it, just that I've progressively gotten lazier and lazier about it. Took me around a year to finish my last serious request; looked fine, just wasn't really motivated to shade it.
Now is as good as a time as ever to get back into it though I guess. Wasn't exactly planning on being that productive in-game, as usual, anyways.
