Dear PoC,

first of all I want to welcome all the new members. I hope you arrived safely and are enjoying your time in Carthaga.
It is a pleasure to see how the city is growing. To me it seems the centre has a very good size at the moment: the walking distances are not too far but there is enough space. Therefore I would like to ask the new coal rank members, to build their houses as close as possible to the centre. Here is a map with available plots:

A few words about the Netherrail

Our highly respected Chief of Infrastructure, 5corpio528, has in a tremendous effort in the last few month first extended the 8000 block long mono rail to a double rail system, installed interchanges for all the sites and is now finishing the tunnel encapsulating our precious transport. Not speaking of all the other improvements, like speeding up the travel or eliminating the redstone torches.
Now we are very close to finishing it: There are ~3000 blocks (?) left to go for the tunnel.

So, we need lots of:

To speed up the process we now double the job points earned per DC cobblestone from 1 to 2 points for a short while.

How to make something good out of something bad?

Even though Carthaga is not even a year old we already suffered several hefty griefing attacks. Thanks to the calmness of the PoC, especially the Committee members (Sweetcutey, Suriyakeng and 5corpio528), and the good relation to some moderators we were able to manage these incidents, bust the griefers and prevented major crisis.
To increase safety SEPTHEKID has founded the PoC squad and you can consult him about security issues.
Please also do /map hide to become invisible on the live map when in Carthaga.
Very important: Every member should lock chests that contain valuables.
Therefore Carthaga now grants every member a free locked chest. Please PM me so I can wire you the rupees.

Here some guidelines what to do when you found griefed areas:
1. Make a screenshot with F2
2. Do NOT repair yet
3. Inform the Committee, and/or Kaizimir, if none is online please PM on the forums
4. Inform a moderator (for example weeh666, if available, he knows Carthaga very well and helped us many times)

Unfortunately, events this month caused some irreparable damage. The good news is that this will result in some challenging jobs. More later...

Guys, I created a buissness 'The Cia' detective buissness, so if someone has got grief and something stolen we will try get evidence and catch them. If you will like to be staff PM me and you have to be on regularly and be committed to your Job. If things get out of hand I will have to fire you!

Someone already has a business like that- it's called The Emc Staff

EMC staff always do their part of the job. But we can do more than that and can use people like beardude or SEP that care to make the place safer. For example, thanks to SEP's initiative we found back some stolen goods, that mods would never have found.
