  1. Would you be open to a reviewing a user contributed modification of the ChestShop (or whatever shop via sign plugin you are using) which exported the following into a CSV formatted file at defined intervals:

Owner, item, buy price, sell price, units, available

If so I think it could be used to enhance the store greatly.

    Edit:

If you are using ChestShop it appears there is
    com.Acrobot.ChestShop.DB.generator

Which starts a runnable that periodically updates a statistics page from a transactions database with

material, total, bought, sold maxStackSize, pricePerStack, pricePerItem
  2. Awesome!~

Could you add more splash potions selections though? I sell a bunch that you don't have a listing for...
  3. Quick question, what does the low/fair/good say after an item. I don't think I'm explaining it that well but if you understand please help me. I don't what people to think I have bad prices if that is what it means.:D
  4. Do you mean what does it mean? & im thinking two things u have alot of that item stocked (high) or have very little (low) or the price of that item

  5. Yes, you're right Kells. It doesn't have anything to do with price. It's the amount items that you have in stock.

  6. ethan I don't know if JustinGuy uses a "standard" server-side mod for the shop signs. My understanding is that he does a A LOT of custom coding for the EMC servers.
  7. haha i guess i should change mine cause i just guessed the price of that item
  8. This is Awesome! Great work, fine job indeed! If you need someone to help out on Graphics, let me know! I'd be willing to help out.
  9. Thx
  10. Theres only 21? And BTW, a search by item, server, or name function would be nice. I don't really know the name and res number of every shop.
  11. Oh oh, could we have a screenshots option to add pictures?
  12. As epic as this seems, I looks at a list of about 10 people who buy blaze rods, and only 1 of them actually bought blaze rods. It'd be nice to have it a bit more accurate... seems like fraud to me...
  13. This would then be the fault of the shop owner(s), as they did not update their shop database accordingly.
  14. When I try to enter in the info about my shop at the "Edit Shop" page, it won't let me save. It always says "Data Missing! Please press back to edit again!" I think the server number is missing, but when I try to put in smp2, it won't let me type anything or let me click from the dropdown list.
  15. That would be something you'd need to ask JustinGuy, but I doubt he'd make modifications for this since it isn't actually built or maintained by him.

Yeah, Potions keep flubbing me up. I'll try to make sure all of them are added by tomorrow.

The search at the moment lets you search by item, server, or name, unless you mean to match on ANY of them that match. As it is, if you type in an item to search, choose a server to search in, and type in a name, it'll match any items, that are on the server you chose and are sold by the owner whose name contains the characters you input.

That said, if you want to see who on SMP 3 sells something, type in the name of the item and choose SMP 3, and it'll only show you shops that sell that item on SMP 3. I think that's what you were asking. If not, maybe I need more clarification.

Additionally, your question about screenshots: As I added the ability to use "Markdown" in your shop descriptions, you should be able to add images to your description that way. Just upload your image or screenshot to any free image host and then use Markdown to include it in your shop description. If you don't know how to use markdown, I added a popup dialog box to the creation and edit pages (link above the description box) to explain the basics, with a link to the full syntax explanation at the bottom of it.

As Zabriel said, shops that say they accept things for purchase but actually don't suffer from inaccuracy on the part of the shop owner. As I don't add any of the listings to the database myself, it's up to the shop owner to keep their listing accurate. Once features and bugs are all more completely ironed out, I may create a way for people to more easily point out what shops aren't accurate so I can contact them about updating their information.

This is odd. I plan to add some realtime form verification to the create and edit pages so it's less obscure. In the meantime, I'm going to open a private conversation with you so I can try to figure out exactly why it's causing this problem. The server name shouldn't be the cause, as it should be auto-selected when you edit. Upon creation, SMP 1 is default, so even if that's not the right server it should still let you create. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
  16. I listed my shop
  17. To be clear I *was* asking JustinGuy to allow me to provide him modified code for the purpose of exporting shop info.
  18. PS I knew it's the fault of the shop owners but it's annoying and we need some way of fixing it. Maybe have a comment system(like a thread, but comments) for each store? Then all of us can post on it what items they truly don't sell or buy or anything like that.
  19. This was happening for me: I clicked on the 'Create Shop' link on my phone, which seems to have fixed that.
  20. Link won't open :/

This would be a real good way to tie businesses together on each server. Nobody wants to be beat by he competition, and if all the prices ar listed (I admit, its late, im tired and I skimmed the forum) then it would certainly stabilize a lot of prices for items.
