The architectual developement in Smp2 is going to be so interesting! From the now almost empty streets and usage of cobblestone as primary material, to whatever its going to become! I can hardly wait to run through town watching all the new buildnings!
Is anyone else experiencing this when i try to connect to smp2 it sends me straight to the main menu?
This is a common Minecraft error. You need to close minecraft, wait a few minutes, and then open it back up. You would get this trying to connect to any server.
You can look in the top right hand corner of the site, or click on servers at the top of the site, or look in the guide, or read the first post in this thread.
Word around town is that the residences are nearly full Way to go Justin and Jeremy! Glad to see how the Empire has grown, from the moment I joined and the history I know of it. This is amazing. The community is great, although the newest members are a bit rough on the edges right now... To be expected of course.
Need help: Yesterday was just great on smp2. Today, I can connect to the server just fine, but once I connect, it is unresponsive - the tiles don't refresh and even server command like '/help' '/town' etc don't respond. I tried the usual routine (re-install Java, MC etc) but to no avail. Pinging the server gives a constant and reasonable round trip times.
I tries smp1 - same behavior but some tile refreshes do take place (slowly). Can anyone point me to a reference server that I can test against? Few more observations: 1. Same behavior when run through client or in browser. 2. About a minute after connecting, the connection breaks with Java socket read timeout. 3. I am on win7/64 and have both Java32 and Java64 installed. Using only one of them gave the same results. 4. Don't know if the router is important for a client but for completeness - I use DD-WRT on a linksys.
