[suggestion] Add beds to waste spawns for players to use if they arrive at the spawn and would like to wait for daylight to start out. As it is now, the only way to skip the night is to walk down the stairs and place a bed, this is especially true if you are the only player on that smp at the moment, as /afk will not work solo. This can get a little difficult if walking down the stairs has had time to spawn hostile mobs nearby. Skeletons like to stand there and shoot you while on the bottom of the stairs and the spiders try to crawl in your hair (they think they are tiny and can do this. they don't know better) A bed could be added near the furnaces and workstations. Respawning at the waste spawn is already enabled, so if you use the bed, it would really not change the mechanics if you don't have a bed and die in the world.
I don't recall this ever being suggested before (although it probably has been in the server chat), and I don't understand why, because it seems like a logical and useful addition!
+1 in jungle green, Katy! The bed situation is very frustrating sometimes even if I do have one with me or already placed one at the end of the road.
+1 from me too. I've often found myself wishing there were a bed in waste spawn areas. Would be a great addition!
just a fyi.. you can place a bed on the floor of any body of water and sleep. If everyone does not sleep it still restores your air. This is true for vanilla as well. just sayin
sometimes not even that is safe. Apart from drowned, skellys will chase you in water, zombies will turn into drowned, and creepers might accumulate above you
