Taking 15-35 seconds to switch between SMPs.

  1. Ever since the 1.16 update came out on EMC I have been having a big issues where it takes 15-35 seconds to switch SMPs. Sometimes my game even crashes/says that it is not responding.

    Things in my mod folder:
    -mod menu
    -malib fabric
    -fabric api
    -easier crafting
    -item scroller
    -litmetica
    -easier villager trading
    -inventory profiles
    -mouse tweaks

    Here are my findings:
-Regular unmodded 1.16.4 takes 3-7 seconds to switch SMPs.
-Fabric 1.16.4 with mods takes 15-35 seconds to switch SMPs.
-Fabric 1.16.4 with not mods takes 3-7 seconds to switch SMPs.
-Is fine with mod menu, malib fabric and fabric api alone.
    -Stated above + easier crafting
-Stated above + easier villager trading
    -Stated above + mouse tweaks
    -Stated above + item scroller
-At this point it is either litmetica or inventory profiles
-With litmetica but w/o inventory profiles it got slower.
-With litmetica and inventory profiles it was also slow.
-With inventory profiles but w/o litmetica it seemed to be fine/regular.

So it seems that litmetica is the issue. What do you think I should do? I would love to hear y’alls input.
  2. my guess is that the modded profile in the minecraft client does not have enough ram setup for it

otherwise, try and error each mod, until you find the one which is lagging you out.
    Egeau and Kryarias like this.
  3. Based on my testing it seems to be litmetica, but I can't figure out why because it was fine before 1.16.4.
  4. I do not have this ussue. Loading of an SMP is usually under the 2 seconds. I am useing all these mods, and more, so I doubt it is any issue with the mods themselves.
I really suggest checking in with the way you system runs these mods. This could be a RAM issue, maybe it is an issue where your single thread speed isn't high enough, (minecraft mostly usues one thread) either way it's an issue specific to your system :)

  5. Well my system is doodoo so that would make sense, but how come it just started now?
  6. I would suggest unless your using litematica to take it out of your mod folder
  7. Whats ur specs of ur pc/laptop?

And what's ur ram set to?
  8. I think I've asked you this already, but have you updated Java?
