  1. This thread is for those who need to grieve. Anybody who never used Windows XP, please let those who need to grieve grieve.

I just want to say to whoever ends up coming to the funeral of Windows XP, thank you for participating. It really means a lot to me.

We shall now say a few words for our dearly departed friend. I shall go first. Anybody who needs to grieve is welcome.

Windows XP was a great system, a system deserving of the title of "The Last Good Windows" in my opinion. As many of you may have heard, Microsoft dropped support for the last Windows XP system, Windows Embedded POSReady 2009, on April 9th, 2019. Windows XP didn't meet an honorable death, but instead had it's honor stripped away, layer by layer. Even so, it has proven itself the strongest, lasting from August 24th, 2001, all the way up to this very year, through the slings of injustice from not only Microsoft, but also the very community who abandoned it, shunned it, and even mocked it. It is indeed, the greatest Windows, no, the greatest Operating System of all time. Windows XP Defined Windows today.
Microsoft's newer systems aren't as pure as was XP. So even though I despise Microsoft, and shun modern Windows, and even use Ubuntu and Arch, I will always be a Windows user at heart, because of a special little system who was first called "Neptune", Windows XP.

  2. If support was dropped on April 9th, why are you making this thread now?
