Hey everyone, I saw other people doing this type of post and I have 7 years worth of stories, adventures, and drama to tell. Being the President of one of the Largest Corporation EMC has ever seen has given me a unique perspective and I want people to get a chance to get to know me more than just my skyscrapers or company. So EMC, I'm a 20 (almost 21) year old College student who started on EMC when he was 13 years old. Ask me literally, anything!
Been working hard supporting the community for a long time. Consequently, I have made many friends here on the Empire tbh. Also SSRC has been working for 6 years making events and giving back to the community. I mean I guess that is why
I've seen your posts and I'm genuinely curious on a few things. I don't feel like I've seen you around much, but maybe because I'm often inactive and live on a different SMP. Can you give a few specific examples of how you've helped the community? I mean this as an honest question. For example if I imagine ShelUser answering this question I'd imagine dozens of specific examples. Do you have any you could share? Also, is SSRC a group of players and/or malls? I remember SSRC being down for a very long time. And to my knowledge was just run by you? So when you say, "President of one of the Largest Corporation EMC has ever seen" does that mean there are multiple players or malls banded together?
What's the most important thing to you? What do you wish someone would ask you? What's something no one would have guessed about you? If you were forced to build an outpost in the frontier, what theme would it be?
I will let Windylava answer this one haha. There is some good juicy history good and bad with this crazy company =P
I dream that EMC will continue to be a vibrant and stable community that give players the freedom to "play their own way." Also a strong vibrant town life.
SSRC consists of 30+ Members (not everyone is active and we go through expansions and retractions). Specific examples are mostly player specific. We have helped people build malls, provide financial support, etc. We also have hosted events that were meant to glue the community together. Such examples are Monday Night Jeopardy, Horse Races, I've hosted 3 drop parties. I've provided many jobs for members of SMP2 and beyond so that they can earn money. We also have helped people build their own malls, and grow and foster a community on SMP2. Sheluser himself can attest to many of these claims. We created a public stone farm at 3307 on smp2, as well as providing a mission of collective growth and community engagement. Many of my contributions have been economic in nature and not necessarily infrastructure because I have not been the best at red-stone. SSRC's Members control over 40+ Residences across SMP2 and we use these reses to build construction projects usually geared toward the community. One such example is the three res Horse stadium on SMP2 at 3385 which the public can use to host their own horse reses.
Work to help the community and do not try to get rich. Friendships and community is the most valuable resource. You're friends will always come to your aid, and good things come to those who do good things for other.
