  6. I saw a quote somewhere about those who have fallen. From what I remember, it went something like this:

"They gave up their life for you to have the ability to live yours. Enjoy it."
  7. Armistice day is a tribute to the end of World War I. Senseless blood loss left over 13 million soldiers dead and the world racked. Armistice day was created to celebrate peace and inspire hope to when wars would be no more. Perverted, it turned into veterans day, support the troops... the ones waging war. Ironically the only way ethically and logically possible to "support the troops" is to recall them, to stop sending men and women to die in wars that accomplish nothing, defend nothing and perpetuate a reality controlled by gold, oil, drugs and money. So, Armistice day should not only be a day of remembrance for those needlessly lost but a conviction to support peace in the future, to condemn war and armies, invasions, genocide and the enslavement of the world.

I served in the US Army for four and a half years. I left the Army telling my commander that what we were doing was wrong, conscientious objector is what the Army called it. Odd though, to have a conscience allows you to leave the military, no questions asked. Today I continue to try and educate young people on the horrors and deception that surrounds the war machine and keep them from sacrificing their lives and livelihoods for something that will never be worth the price they must pay.

    Happy armistice day.

  8. Thanks to the Empire team for doing something each year to memorialize this day. It would be easy to brush over this day as it's not one of the major holidays. Much respect.

  13. I posted this on my Facebook the other day.

"Hope you all take this time to reflect on the sacrifices others have made for us and the achievements we've made in peace since then.

Wishing you and all the veterans I know, a happy Veterans and Remembrance day."

  20. A good turnout for the ceremony.

I've said this in-game already, but thanks to Krysyy for hosting, and to our veterans here on EMC, wherever they may have served.
