It says if you remove the lock sign within 300 seconds, you get a full refund. Why not just say 5 minutes to make it easier?

I don't think you need a reminder for that. If you did it on accident which is what the refund is for, you'll know you have to do it.
It's done to keep peoples' math sharp. It helps students in school right now and everyone out of school. It helps sharpen your skills which will/does help you stay on top of your bills. That's why it's there.
