It's actually easier than you might think. When you're in a thread, like you are now when reading this message, all you have to do is click on the "reply" link in the lower right corner. Then the message will be automatically quoted in the "response box" (as I call it) at the bottom. Interesting detail: if you click the reply button on multiple messages then they'll all be quoted in the "response box", this allows you to respond to multiple messages at the same time. After you have collected all messages you want to respond to it's usually a better idea to click the "more options" button. This puts you into a dedicated editor which also has a "preview" button. That allows you to check your message before actually posting it. Adding pictures... 2 options. First, and it is preferred that you use this, is a picture upload site such as Imgur. There are several, I like Imgur best. Using is easy: click the blue "upload images" button, upload an image and you'll immediately get to see the code(s) needed to post it. For usage on the Empire you'd use the "bbcode" code line. Second option, but I have to stress out that it's preferred that you don't use this: click the "upload a file" button when replying to a message. Still, for an emergency or occasional situation I'd say that using this option should be fine.
