  1. When I have nightmares, it's usually after I watch a creepy pasta video.
  2. And is the subject of the dream related to that video, then?

I think it's highly unlikely that your last dream was over a year ago. If you don't wake up in the middle of a dream though, you'll often forget them. So I think you may have had a dream last night, but you just didn't remember it when you awoke.
  3. Mostly top #'s and stuff. I saw stuff like, this game that had no mention of a company on it, had a difficult installation process, and weird, disturbing, creepy things that the game had.
  4. A lot of the dreams I have are nightmares. I never remember them: just parts of them.

The one I remember in its entirety is the most horrific one I think I've ever dreamed of. I woke up, got out of bed, and noticed it was still dark outside. I went for a drink, and walked down the hallway and into my kitchen. There, I found skinny black humanoids (that sounded better in my head... :p) feasting on my dead mum as she was leaned over the counter. I hid behind the table and chairs, and looked at my dog's bed - where I noticed a load of blood and her skull.

I then ran upstairs (and went through the baby gate as if by magic... :p) while these things gave chase to me. I ran into my brother's room, and tried to wake them both up. The 'monsters' then proceeded to run straight past me and began to eat my brother (who was, I think, 1 years old at the time) and his screams woke my other brother up. Me and my brother then woke my dad up, who ran straight into my sister's room, as my brother got torn away from me in the hallway and eaten (blood was also everywhere). Me and my sister then climbed out of her window and onto the roof, and my dad got eaten by the 'monsters' as he tried to climb out too. They then flooded out onto the roof, and killed my sister by throwing her off the top of the roof and onto my mum's car in the driveway while I tried to run away.

The things were then running at me from across the roof, and my only option was to jump down onto my shed. I decided to jump onto my brother's kitchen playset that was below for some reason, and it cushioned my fall. And then I could feel incredible pain. I looked down, and noticed that one of the supports from it had impaled me through the stomach. I tried to crawl away, but the things surrounded me. I just remember feeling extremely scared, and then they all began to eat me... I don't remember anything past that :p

Also: I have been trying to train myself in lucid dreaming for nearly 3 years to stop something like that happening again, just because that dream genuinely used to frighten me and stop me from going to sleep (and because it'd be cool to lucid dream) - so far, nothing has worked.

I feel like that dream basically told me that I'm willing to use others to get what I want or something (seeing as I don't recall doing anything to save any of my family members), but in the end it won't work out for me (seeing as I, presumably, died at the end).
  5. What have you been trying?
  6. Dreams are not easy to interpret, not only the story of the dream plays a role but your feelings.
The creatures might represent the society, people around you, people in the school ... but also something else.
Deep fear and panic put other emotions into shadow, so if you're running in panic for your own life there is little room for other thoughts.
  7. My nightmares typically involves my teeth falling out or being locked in a building with a lot of annoying kids that try to eat me. My dreams are weird.
  8. Of all my dreams, I have one that I remember the very best. I was not lucid during it.

It starts with me walking through a bunch of clouds, as if I am dead and in heaven. I walk around for a bit, and I find this giant vertical cloud with a door to it. I go through the open door, and all of a sudden I am in front of an enormous old man in a baby-blue robe (whom I perceive to be God) with a puzzled/thinking face. After a long wait, he nods. (For some reason I associate this next part with a bucket, no idea why) Then, I remember falling through the clouds and everything has a glowy-white tint to it. I begin flying, because I apparently have wings. I fly around for a bit, and fly to my old house that I moved from about 8 years before I had the dream. The house seems strangely familiar, even though I had not been there since I was little. All the lights were off, and apparently no one was home. I walk outside into a new place, the garden in front of my new house. I know somehow that my new house is behind me. These two people that I hate were in front of the house. I had promised to fight them in real life, but one chickened out, and the other was such a big idiot he never showed up. They had come to fight me. Anyways, in angel form, I sock one over the head and it flies off and blood goes everywhere. I have a triumphant look on my face as I fly away. I go to my school, which is also empty. Eventually, I just fly back up into the clouds and my wings disappear.

I will make a post about my most vivid nightmare later, but I don't have time now.
  9. Same.
  10. My most vivid nightmare only lasted about two seconds, which is why I remember it so well. I was four, and I had a dream that I got run over by Thomas the Tank Engine. I woke up immediately after, and I never watched that show again.
  11. I wish my little brother would have a nightmare like that about Animal Meechanicals or Julius Jr.
  12. Some of the scarier dreams I have make no sense but terrify me at the time. Once, I had a dream where I jumped into a perfectly normal pool. After jumping in, I realized it was actually full of snakes and that they were literally everywhere. Another dream involved a park full of snakes and I didn't think anything about it. All of a sudden, one of the snakes flies off the wall it had been on and takes out my brother. I don't like snakes.

  13. Monster!

Thomas was probably my favorite thing ever pre-age 6. I was obsessed with it haha. I had tons and tons of the little wooden trains on the little wooden tracks...
  14. The finger 'twitch' thing, the reality check stuff, and pretty much all the other methods I can find.
  15. One of the things that worked well for me when I was starting, Write down a dream you would like to have. Detailed. Keep it near your bed. Avoid other stimulus for a while before trying to go to bed. You will dream about things that you are exposed to during the day, particularly near to bed time. Spend some time instead meditating, doing some muscle relaxations. Do a Google search for something called progressive muscle relaxation techniques. There are lots of free downloads out there from mental health resource sites. Its a great way to get tension out, and help you feel relaxed before sleep. This will allow you a better pathway to sleep. Also run your hands under warm water before laying down. (This helps remove any static you have built up in your body. Also helping with peaceful sleep.) Then read through the written dream a few times before bed. Try to keep that in your head while you nod off. Imagine as many details as you can. If you do this again and again, you will eventually have that dream. Or something close to it. Then pick a new dream. The more you do it, the better you will get at it. Keep working on the reality checks often. Eventually you will get the hang of it. It can take a lot of work but it is worth it. And in the mean time you will find yourself sleeping better than ever, giving you more energy and general well being during the day.

  16. My dreams are usually about Egypt and powerful statues and me falling in a 1 inch hole, screaming I will never see the Sun again. XD :p
  17. I'm joining the Airforce as a TACP, I am having dreams me in combat doing what I was trained. Dropping bombs! Hoorah!
  18. I remember most of my dreams due to using a dream journal n stuff. I can actually lucid dream about 40% of the time.

Fun fact: scientists have no idea why we dream. There are a couple of theories, but nothing that's actually been widely proven.
  19. Kep, your mind, is wack...
  20. I know what it means when I dream... it means I'm sleeping. :D
