Getting a new PC!

  1. So, after 4-5 years of using my current rig which is as follows (from Walmart, sucks more than I can even say)
-Intel Pentium Dual Core @ 2.7 GHz
    -Some random old ASUS motherboard
-4GB RAM (I use that much browsing the web >.>)
    - EVGA GeForce GT610 (this thing I bought myself, didn't even come with the system. $40 card and really don't buy it, save your money and get something better. It can hardly manage 20-40fps maxed minecraft..)
-Random power supply (most likely made out of a similar material as happy toys)
-Random hard drive (I can run faster than this thing)
-Ugliest case I've seen in a while with a dumbo logo on it.

As a 13 year old, it's kind of hard to convince your parents that anything that costs a good amount of money is a good idea. However, I managed to convince them that it's necessary & you'll save a lot of money building it yourself. Plus, you can control your parts and make sure you aren't buying junk.

Without further ado, here goes the new build!

-Intel Quad Core i7 4790k @ 4.0 GHz (the overclock is gonna be real)
-Corsair H90 Liquid CPU Cooler (very, very real)
    -ASUS Z87-Pro Motherboard
    -Corsair Vengeance 8GB kit (2x 4GB)
-EVGA GeForce GTX 760 Superclocked Dual ACX (you da man)
-Corsair CS450M 450W 80+ Gold Semi-Modular Power Supply (not overkill, stayed pretty much on target)
-Corsair Force LS 60GB SSD (OS and maybe a game or two)
-Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200rpm Hard Drive (everything else)
    -Corsair Graphite 230T Case

Planning to build it on Saturday, so I'll post back with final pictures!

  2. Awesome!
the pictures don't show up, though.
  3.? They show up for me. Are they like empty squares or just not there?
  4. really jealous
you can't build a custom mac
really used to mac and is like a great-grandma on windows
  5. Nice selections
  6. they are squares. you should use lightshot. it's what I have been using for about five years now (lol).

    1. click here
    2. click on "Download lightshot for free" at the top right hand corner
    3. install it (it takes seconds)
    4. after it's installed, press the prnt scr button on your keyboard
    5. click your mouse and drag it to select an area to take a screenshot of
    6. click on the cloud icon with an arrow in it when you have selected the area
    7. click on "open" once the link has been generated
    8. right-click the image and select "copy image url" (prntscr images are uploaded on imgur)
  7. Who says? Hackintosh :p (you need a mac computer to setup, but it's totally possible to build a carefully selected custom PC and run OS Mavericks on it)
    Thanks :3
Nothing is wrong with Gyazo.. I can see the images fine. It may just be you.
