Hey Everyone! And by the Title of this post you probably think "SHALOM! WHY ARE YOU LEAVING?!?!?!?!" well the answer to that is I'm not going to leave but I will become less active and when I am on in game it will for a short period of time. I will still be on forums and stuff but less active on forums to. I also bet You are thinking "SHALOM!!! DO YOU WHY DO YOU NOT WANT TO PLAY EMC MUCH DO YOU NOT LIKE US????" well the answer to that is no and I think the EMC community is the best by far and I will miss you all very much but the real reasons are Lets just say my family isn't really having the best time. as many of you know My Grandfather recently has died and now my Grand mother is thinking of suicide . so I have to keep her in shape. the Second reason is work and stuff. trying to be active and do all my work has really became a pain. and I think that my work is more important. you also may be thinking "SHALOM! WHAT ABOUT YOUR 3RD YEAR OF EMC PARTY?" yes, I will still host the entire party and nothing has been changed with that. and I really don't know how long this spree of inactivity will be. It could be just a month or two or it could be even 6 months. none the less I will miss all of you and try to chat with you all when I get the chance. See You All Later!
My heart goes out to you and your family for the loss of your grandfather, I know how hard that is, and I wish that no one would have to go through that. I actually like that you are doing this. Many people let MC take over their lives, losing sleep and valuable time that they could be using for what is important. You have recognized that there is other stuff that takes priority over EMC. Good luck Shalom, I know we haven't really talked before, but you have earned my respect for your willingness to take a step back to take care of what is really important.
Shalom, While we haven't interacted much, I'm sorry to hear about the issues in your family. Feel free to take as much time as you need to be with your family at this difficult time. EMC will, more likely than not, still be here when you get back; if your grandmother is suicidal, I'd be thinking about being there for her as much as possible until she is confident and able to cope better, and would consider forgoing the 3 year party. Make sure your grandmother knows about resources available for those experiencing distress and despair as a result of trauma, including helplines. If you are worried yourself, many helplines also offer advice to help you support your grandmother, so you can check on that. If you need any help, I know EMC's Community Managers, and indeed the entire community, will be able to provide it. I wish you well in this difficult time. ~ Scott

OH MY GOD! I just Got a Phone call from the hospital and to my surprise they said they put my grand mother on Some medication and she is now being released some time this week! I was so worried that this could be really bad but now she can be released soon! if you didn't know this has been going on for about 3 weeks now and finally she is going to go home! ironic how a day after me creating this thread that this happened! thank you for the support and oh my gosh... this is so good!
I fully understand how you feel, being in a similar situation right now, but I'm sure that the break will do you well and the Empire will still be here with open arms when you come back!
