Team Fortress 2 Crafting?

You can buy a giftapult for $ .10

I bought a cloak and dagger for $.50.
To buy in-game items, you spend steam credits.
The lowest amount of steam credits costs $5.
(you may also have steam credits from selling trading cards, etc)
I buy $5 worth of steam credits, and buy the $.50 cloak and dagger.
I now have $4.50 remaining, I have a cloak and dagger, and I have premium.

I bought it with my steam store credit, and i only had .40 cents, so i bought a cheap item lol.

Another question from the n00b:

Some guy on a server asked to trade with me when i got some kind of gentleman's facial hair for a pyro. When i accepted, a messaged popped up, saying that this play was known for scamming. Should i be worried, or disregard the message?

If it's just regular Valve trading then you should be fine.
