Not quite sure what you are saying here. If I understand correctly, no, you cannot end the auction "whenever you feel like", you must wait until the amount of time specified in the OP has passed. Might want to brush up on the Auction Rules.

yes that is what i was saying. Tattered ended the auction way before 48 hours was up. in fact it still isn't up

I believe it is, you are in a different time zone but if you look at the time the last bid was posted until now, it has been 48 hours.
