D: How come I didn't see this!

This was invalid anyway (to my knowledge you can't split the chests for flowers)

I've beenlooking for the rules for this but cant find them, even posted a question about it with no answers. But a chest of much more mixed flowers has been auctioned in the past.

You can do it with mob heads and wool, why not tulips?

The rules lists the items that can be split up, check that. (I can't right now lol)

Wool, Stained Clay, Stained Glass, Stained Glass Panes, Carpet and Flowers

The above can be auctioned off in double chest quantities. You can mix multiple types of the same item (eg: colors of wool, types of flower), provided the total amount of items adds up to a double chest. You cannot mix multiple types of these items in one double chest (eg: half a double chest of wool, with half a double chest of clay).
