  6. Interestingly, the true meaning of the national (US) holiday of Thanksgiving is not meant as a history "lesson" about the "pilgrims". Thanksgiving is just traced back to the pilgrims and labeled as celebrating such because the pilgrims' thanksgiving was the first documented one by any "New World" settlers. Thanksgiving's actual roots lay elsewhere.

    In fact, when Thanksgiving became a national holiday, the reasoning had nothing to do with the pilgrims.

  8. Honestly, I think promos are wonderful, they make EMC unique, but I think they should be only for worldwide celebrations.

  12. Oh, now we can get fun. First we have the Native Slayer: Chops off the hands of a mob and makes it appear as though they are strung about the mob's neck. Then fills the mob with lava, summons wolves to rip mob apart, and burns the mob alive. Or maybe the Enslaver: Bends every mob to your will. Oh, or what about the Baby-Eating Wolf? A wolf egg that spawns a wolf that eats all baby mobs. Or a villager egg that spawns a baby villager that is bound to go into caves and bring you pathetic amounts of gold. Oooh, this is so much fun! But really, we don't need a Turkey Day Promo. :p

    there are no worldwide celebrations not even new years is recognized around the world simultaneously. also emc is a us based server but if you dont want your american promos ill take em :)

  20. that is not what it is not supposed to celebrate that but we ignore the fact that we killed out the indian race. We give them a meal, steal there land, then in 2013 watch the tea party talk about stopping and kicking out illegal immigrants. WE are in a hypocritical society. Now we don't even celebrate it with giving thanks and family dinners but pepper spraying people at shops for a pre-black friday, watching a parade on the television and then eating like we are starving when we are one of the fattest countries on earth. The thing is, thanksgiving is not what it used to be so skydragonv8 is either right or close.
