Ubuntu is nice. Lovely, infact. But I do prefer Windows for gaming, for now. There aren't many games with Linux compatibility at the moment. Not as many as i'd like, rather And also because of Secure Boot UEFI that comes with my machine. Now I have to buy the disc. But my mum is convinced 'it's a virus and it's going to break your computer'. As you can see, my mum isn't exactly experienced in the field of Operating Systems.
Windows, yup, thats your problem right there . . . . In all honesty I have a dual-boot set up right now with Ubuntu/Win8, and MC averages 24 fps on Ubuntu and 50 fps in Win8. But I still play on Ubuntu simply because I can actually find my .minecraft folder easier. I only use Windows when I'm explaining to someone how to fix it.
