So this is a fairly simple rant. I know me and a ton of other people are tired of falling in random holes made by people in the wastelands and frontier and losing all of our items. If you are one of the people who do this I am asking you to stop. It is annoying and a danger. If you are still going to do this could you please cover the holes up with with a few blocks or put sign? Just something to let people know it's there so they can patch it up or avoid it. The main reason I made this is because a few minutes ago I lost 8k worth of items by falling into a random hole. And this is not the first time this has happened. I have fallen into random holes multiple times through out my EMC life. And I have lost over 16k worth of items just to random holes at random points in my EMC career.
I've had this happen to me countless times, unfortunately people do it just for what happened to you, other people dying and losing gear, it's like dirt pillars-pointless and annoying.
I've narrowly avoided death from this multiple times, on this and other servers. It may be really inconsiderate and I wish people wouldn't do it, but at that same time it is one of those many dangers that we need to be careful of out in the wild/wastelands. While a large part of the blame may lie on the person who dug it, they didn't force you to fall down it while not paying attention.
Last year, I fell down a hole left when someone tried to cover a ravine. It was a nice idea, but the resultant high fall lost me all my enchanted diamond armour and tools. A little bit annoying.... =(
