Pistons / Redstone buggy?

  1. I am trying to make a farm with pistons that let the water go out, only I'm having trouble to get it working.

The setup is pistons, with redstone, connected to a lever. That's all I've got on my res for wiring. When the lever is on all pistons are extended. When I turn the lever off, some pistons go down, but others remain extended even though the redstone is dim.

Is there a work around for this?
  2. Try to give the upstanding pistons an block update (place a block next to it) tell if that works or not :)
And also, is it an whole row that didn't go down, or random pistons?
EDIT: Are it each time other pistons?
  3. That works.

It's a whole row, there is to rows next to each other, seperated by a dirt block and a repeater on top, the first row doesn't work but the second does.

    It's always the same pistons.
  4. Redstone is DIM?If it still has sparks,I recommend checking for repeater loops. If it doesn't,block update error. If they are sticky with redstone blocks on the end, then the redstone blocks may be powering them.
  5. I moved the switch closer to the piston and they all work now, it's odd to me because it were the closer ones that didn't work.

I meant it has no sparks.
