Minecraft Update 1.6.2 Problems [HELP]

I was just wondering if there is anyway that I could update to 1.6.2 and play on this other server but use a different launcher so I could still play on EMC until it updates. Sorry if that was a bit confusing but basically I want to play on a 1.6.2 server but I still want to get on EMC on a different launcher or something.

Yes it's possible, just use Minecraft launcher for EMC and the new launcher for 1.6.2

The new launcher supports the use of different versions.

I use the current 1.5 launcher for Empire and the dev launcher for 1.6.

It's simple though.

I have Magic Launcher for 1.5.2 and the new launcher for 1.6 so it's possible.

I use magic launcher for both - just make a new environment and look under versions folder after you install the new launcher... and use the 1.6.2 jar...
