  1. As you guys know, i'm an open athiest and am an evolutionist. At school, my teachers don't know i'm an athiest - being an open athiest in my school can get you in alot of trouble.

My teacher asked for my opinion on God - so I gave that opinion to her.

I said that he doesn't exist and the bible is just something written to give people rules. And then she asked for my 'image' of God (as in his personality) and I said that he was a sexist, racist homophobe who ignorant people idolize.

So... i'm probably going to get pulled up about it tomorrow. And shouted at. And possibly suspended from school... even though what I written is perfectly true.
  2. What the hell is up with you UKer's and your schools? First 72volt and now you. I would try contacting some larger group to get help from them.

  3. Now there's the problem.

While you are always entitled to your opinions, they are just that, Opinions.
Just because you believe something and have a strong faith in it, does not make it true.

You should always be tolerant of other's people's beliefs and respect them, and what you said may have offended some of those people.

Then again, it is also up to the school to realise that as well.

  4. Oh, you don't even know the half of it, some of our school's are absolute messes.

  5. Like the time my teacher lied about my Maths SATs results and knew I had discalculia and hid that from me :D
  6. wow, why?
  7. Well... Maybe insulting God in front of some non-atheist people can get you in trouble, you know...
->Also, God is NOT sexist, nor homophobe and I don't think people who believe are ignorant.

  8. I second this, the education system over here is completely flawed, as specially with the funding differences between English and Welsh school's.

This is why I like going to a kinda non-religious school (well I think it's technically christian) you aren't forced to pray or do certain things for something you don't believe in, unlike another school in my area. You still have to learn religious studies as that's compulsory in all school's, however my RS teacher doesn't shove a religion in my face and make me accept it, instead we learn about religions so we can pass a exam.

  9. I suggest you read our rules about NOT insulting people based on their thoughts and beliefs if you want to keep your forum privileges intact. :)
