How is a barrel of monkeys fun, though? They would rip your face off. That's not fun. Therefore, it is not difficult for something to be more fun than a barrel of monkeys.
When people say "More fun than a barrel of Monkeys" I always think of these: I had them as a kid and they only kept me occupied for a few seconds because well...if you linked them you could barely do anything with them after. Pretty boring. Anything is more fun than that.
