  1. So were running into his thread?
  2. Maybe someone jumped into the hard drive and hit the bit of data that contains this thread..

  3. I will hire your services. Res 958 smp1 and 10222 smp5. Will post pictures in a second.
  4. Wow! Chunky is cool :D Im making a rendering of the arenas for the Emc Survival Games hosted by Kman122000.
  5. also: question for anyone who is using this. how long should it take to render a good image? i did a benchmark thing and it said:

If yours is similar plz tell me how long it takes you.
    thanks!

EDIT: Whats SPP? I randomly put mine at 5000 b/c idk what it is... im doing a render of like 20-30 chunks with it at 5000 and its taking like 10 minutes for the thing... so im guessing since u said it was talking like 9 hours im doing it wrong?
  6. So, Can you do large areas like you did on the other thread? If so, can you do Ubersauce for me please.

If you can get farther away and higher to get the whole thing that would be awsome, but I know it will take a while. Also, it is to difficult for me to move around to see what angle would be best, so play with it and use your judgement.

  7. So this is what i have for yours so far. It still needs to cook longer, and those fuzzy parts in the arches will look better.

  8. ONE DOES NOT SIMPLY NOT PAY ISMOOCH FOR HIS GOOD WORK
  9. core 2 duos are AWESOME render machines. very energy efficient for the work you get out of them, and though there IS faster now, they still are really efficient and quick machines. I have several and love them.

I think what you are delivering is the skill to do these things, some people just can't figure out the best way to, or maybe any way to. Some don't have windows boxes, and isn't this a windows program?
  10. Well the program itself is a .jar so it can be run on any machine as long as you can launch it properly (it comes with a batch file to open the jar which is a windows only format).
  11. actually the windows/linux .zip comes with a .bat and .sh file (.sh is for linux) and it has a MAC installation as well. This is a great little program made to run on any machine. I like that it mutlithreads.. because so few good java programs do. And it really puts out the full potential. I may not have the fastest machines for doing this, but I can tell where the good views are, and how to arrange the light and emmiter intensity to get the best looking render.
  12. So how does this thing work?
  13. Mine was 800000 something, and it is telling me that it will take 2:15 for 15000spp, but it is only doing 9 chunks:/
    Look under "Render Quality"

  14. 9 chunks is hardly anything. I was doing like 300 chunks earlier in a huge one, it told me 2.5 hours left for 1920x1080 with 5000 SSP.
  15. I downloaded a lost city map, and the tower area was only 9 chunks total:p
  16. cool.
  17. If only this program could use the GPU in someway.. The CPU is the weakest part of my computer, GPU is the strongest.
  18. not necessarily. there are some powerful CPUs and some weak GPUs... im mine i have a fairly powerful processor, and a fairly weak GFX card
  19. Exactly, I have a weak CPU and a powerful GPU.
