OLD mOLD on a sLATE pLATE. Yeah, the server is used to test stuff before being put into the other servers.
it resembles my servers world only less tnt craters all the to bedrock oh and don't take this as a advertisement its mostly for me and my friends violent impulses and large castles
By the way, if anyone is wondering why it's named "stage.empire.us": In software engineering, there are often multiple "environments" the codebase exists in: Development (obvious by name what this is, but code in this stage usually only runs on developers' computers as they're adding things to the software and fixing its bugs) Testing or Quality Assurance (smaller development teams usually don't have this environment, but it's where a group of people who are usually entirely dedicated to software testing and quality control run the software through a suite of tests to ensure that nothing has broken since the last release. I doubt EMC has this environment.) Staging (an environment usually only applicable for server software, (like multi-player games and websites, and so on) it's an environment where everything is made to be as close to the production server as possible, so that new versions can be tested in the "real" environment before being exposed to the whole world.) Production (the point where the public (or in some cases, the paying customers) typically gets to use the software. At this point, most problems should have been taken care of in earlier environments.)
Ahh that explains the residence ownerships on non-staff members... I'm guessing this had to do with the lag SMP9 was having?
when we had the piston bugs "Block X", SMP9 had the problem alot more than the others, so we copied SMP9 in attempt to get it to happen on stage, sadly, it never happened haha...
I understand that but what I am referring to is how SMP9 has been significantly worse than the other server when it comes to issues such as bugs and lag.
