False. Did you even care to look it up. I have searched a lot on this. People have done research on fish. That MYTH came up when an employee at a pet store was told it is cruel to make the fish keep swimming around in the bowl all day everyday. He then created the myth that it is 3 seconds so it wouldn't be cruel.
