I hate it when people steal from chests in the wilderness

I agree. In saving a trip you could just create a portal connected from your place in the wild to the nether. Then traveling from the portal in the nether to spawn would be a less trip then say a trip from your place in the wild to wild spawn.

Easy solution to hide your chests: Make an area in a wall tall enough for you to put a lava source above where you open the wall, and deep enough so the lava flows past that point. Place your chest in the wall. Put a source block of lava above and behind the block you break to access this area. Then, cover it up. Now, if someone else were to open up the wall, all they would see is some lava (which would be flowing downward into a hole, so it wouldn't spill out). They'd cover it and move on. But you would know to right click the lava, opening your new secret chest.

Trust me, I used this technique on a huge PvP server, and our base got raided. The only thing they didn't find was that chest in the lava, even after they had opened up the entire wall. Anyone need a picture or video to explain better?

I spent a number of weeks building a house to only log in one night and find it all demolished and a sign saying "We're sorry your house got griefed, the player responsible was banned. EMC staff." What p*ss*d me was that i'd lost a stack and a HALF of diamonds. oh well.

Well then hit them with a minecraft fork, bat, or car in minecraft. Problem solved. (oh then ban them after)

I wish they could lower the price of locked chests, that would be wonderful...

Imagine a pile of them surrounding your locked chest leaving you with no access, or a 200 block high wall of locked chests surrounding the spawn area.

Yeah, and that's at 500r. There are a lot of people who could, but not necessarily would do it now. Imagine how many could, and would at 50 or 100r.

Actually a two block high wall one block off the ground would be enough to be effective.
