+1 All this grinding you'd think we were playing WOWcraft. Same things apply to grinders in the LLO and the domestic animals. We don't need 50 chickens in each pen. I had to go around killing sheep yesterday because the entity count was over 350.
Does this mean you're staying in the tower? Yay! But it sounds like you won't need to connect to the white harbour rail line now. Let me know because I'm just about to build it.
Yes, I'm staying ^.^ And I ultimately want two connectors, one to head out toward district 6 and one toward the dome Lecta made for the rails, so keep building! =D
that is really unfortunate to read I would like to add: i have started expanding a small pond into a larger pond in district 9. at this very moment it looks HORRIBLE. please trust me that it will be fixed! once i properly landscape the area, remove some of the stone and place dirt on top, it will look naturally generated again. i left a sign in the middle of the pond as well. so please dont mind the mess.
I have to ask everyone to stay away from my home (the ice house) for now. Unfortunately I had a visit from the lulz kidz who have been playing games with beds and lava. Because they are stupid I wasn't in any danger but unsuspecting visitors could risk death in my house. I'll keep an eye on the live map and anyone seen in my house will be assumed to be griefing. On a happier note, I'd like to announce the opening of the White Harbour Express Rail tunnel. The rail track will be laid over the next couple of days. This is the first of the new direct lines that run from one location back to the rail hub at Grand Central Station. The White Harbour and Grand Central Stations need more work but ultimately they will allow for at least 5 lines and more if we decide to expand. Anyone who wants to help me with the design is very welcome to suggest ideas. The next line to be incorporated in the hub will be the jungle line. With two separate tracks and a direct line there are no more messy stops that need to be made. Just one click and you're there.
Since I can't curse I'll just say "That's a bit crappy". I have gone to those only about two or three times since you guys built them it's only been that many because every time I went there were others there. I choose to only go when there aren't that many people online so it's less of a risk. I would offer a compromise of taking turns, offering to anyone who did like me and came to the grinder only to find people there. There were TWO NIGHTS in a row I had to kill someone's mobs because they AFK'd. The first night I don't know how long but there were 256 mobs in the grinder lagging people to death so I had to kill them. The second time they were AFK for at least an hour and a half that I know and I just kept continuing to kill the mobs as they spawned, /reported like Aikar told me to in pm and nothing was done. I got bored and I then went back to the outpost to talk to Rune. Not everyone has the money in their budget to afford to be "special". YAY ONLY ONE BUTTON! D: What? Hopefully you caught them in the act? There seem to be lots of those kinds of kids lately.
I have fenced in another area near the beach house. I already used that for testing beach stuff and now will build my first own private house at the LLO there. There was a free-to-take house nearby that nobody took for ages. I left the house standing but changed the path to it a bit because it was blocking the area I want to build. Not sure how it will look but probably a small wooden house with small farms.
I couldn't agree more, and I hope it doesn't come to this. This is only the first public warning, so I wouldn't be too concerned as of yet. I hope that you understand that if this happens (and I doubt it will need to), it isn't to exclude non supporters, but to hide the grinders from those who can not use them responsibly. To further clarify, non-supporters are not the issue here, but the solution has the unfortunate side effect of the need to keep the grinders hidden, which non supporters can not do. I would love to see non supporters have the ability to "/map hide". I will do everything I can before resorting to the above solution. I think it is clear by the fact that all of my grinders are open to LLO and the public that I am not happy excluding anybody. I hope after reading this, you are no longer a sad panda
Yeah I was a pretty sad panda to read that but if people abuse(?) them I guess it is for the best. When we had the ones coming out just for it bummed me out. I only sent the ones Secret said, the others I lied to xD. We also have members who think we're part of that Colony Competition thread. When we say something about the post on the forums they say "Oh yeah that contest thing...that means you guys have grinders right?" Not pointing fingers or trying to start stuff but there are supporters who mess things up for other people. I think maybe it depends on maturity as well.
I noticed the high entity count at the farms too. I went around and killed some mooshrooms and pigs as there areas were overflooding. Only helped a bit.
