The challange of EMC is building large structures without creative. Just check out the tower Truthinore and the tower d1223m made. It was ALL done on the smp. Just because you don't want to fall all the time, doesn't mean a new server has to be made for you. We are an economy server. Want to build something nice, go get the supplies or buy them, and get to work.
Of course it wouldn't be connected with the others. Why don't people get that some people get bored of the whole economy/ vanilla survival. They want things like creative, pvp, and some modded servers, but want to stay within EMC because they know it'll be done right. That goes to everyone who goes "no" and shoots down all these ideas without thinking about the fact they don't want to leave EMC to have to play this stuff. You people are the issue, not those wanting the Empire to expand.
That statement is very pretentious. I agree that somethings have to be added, but not everything that is stated above, such as Adventure (as there are way to many ways to ruin it) and Creative (as people just don't want to work to build something cool as EVERYTHING that can be made in creative can be made Ex: d1223m and thruthinore). I am ALL for PvP as many in the community have known af a "Dytopian" like project for months now.
Even though i said creative sucks, i'm still all for it. People would love to make very awesome buildings. I for one would love to go sight-seeing on the creative server if it came. I just wouldn't play on it.
everyone needs to calm it. what is wrong with having a creative server separate from the economy? creative is apart of minecraft and is simply another game mode. its like saying everyone HAS to play Team Deathmatch on Call of Duty, when other people want to play Capture the Flag lol. I may play [the] creative server, or not. but that is the point of having options. as someone said earlier, if you dont like it, dont play it. out of sight, out of mind. ...Im talking about a creative server as if its on its way lol sorry about that part.
And the people who come into these type of threads and claim "no" aren't or the ones who go " The empire isn't about or needs this." You have to fight fire with fire.
Look all I was saying was that it would be good but there would be some things in the empire tradition that would be broken... I'm just saying based on what the opening thread post said that if the creative server were used to show off things why not just build it in single player and upload it...
I sense a lot of nonsupporters will see and interpret my view differently, but from a staff POV and considering the costs for running 10 servers, a new creative server seems feasible only if Diamond supporters have build access to it. Like with the Utopia, a Dimmy supporter only creative server would have massive residences for Diamond supporters to change to their hearts' content. Let's be real here: If we had a creative server EVERYONE had access to, I would not be surprised if some jerk covers it in swastikas or some other hateful/obscene thing. Something like this could be difficult to maintain. But with building rights given only to Diamond supporters, it would be far FAR easier to keep clean. We could let other members roam this server, however they would not be allowed to claim a residence. If we were to implement such a server, Diamond membership would suddenly be worth a lot more to many players who just want to build without restriction. Of course there would only be need for a town in this case. Also flying would be enabled to Diamond supporters only in this server. And vault access would need to be disabled for this world.
I got bored in creative mode real fast and now only time I use it is for making blueprints for buildings, gens or mob exp grinder other that "meh" to the idea I guess but I like green idea to only diamond supports only
I would personally use such a server for pixel art. I love making pixel art. But as it stands making pixel art on the normal servers is too difficult for my impatient building techniques. Icecreamcow likes my status?!
