Hey guys so as some of you saw I stepped down from my position of moderator today. I thought I'd share some thoughts with you all concerning it. As some of you know I've been struggling with some stuff lately that's really cut off my time on EMC. Beyond that, and maybe it's just my frustration, I have been in disagreement with Aikar over a few things and I just don't think I can stick around that group any longer. That's the gist of it...Here's my unfiltered venting on it. Warning, not for the week of heart Did you ever hear the Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise? It's a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith so powerful and so wise, he could use the Force to influence the midi-chlorians to create... life. He had such a knowledge of the Dark Side, he could even keep the ones he cared about... from dying. He became so powerful, the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power... which, eventually of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew. Then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. Ironic. He could save others from death... but not himself. Also Aikar believes Darth Plagueis is Snoke from TFA, that's why I'm upset.
To be honest I didn't even notice you stepped down, though you were one of the raddest mods around. I mean all of you are rad, though Lucky was exceptionally rad and oh... ok, that was not what I was expecting in the spoiler.
It's normal for people to not agree on some decisions that have been made and it is very responsible for you to do what you did by stepping down and not causing anything. Not saying you would! But I am glad that you were able to become such a amazing staff member and that it had made you so much better of a player because some people may not realize it but being a staff member is hard work and takes a tole on you. I'm happy for you knowing that you got to meet so many different players and we're able to interact with these players! I am and always will be here for you and I have very high respect for you! -Love Original
Hard to tell, due to the date... but I kinda wanna say it isn't a joke. I mean, hard to tell 'til the future/tomorrow comes, but the steps involved in it and all kind of make me think it isn't, despite the timing/date being horrible . If it is a joke, then good job lucky, y'done fooled us . If it's not, as I suspect for now until tomorrow or the future comes, then thank you for your service, and thank you for always for being (and as you will continue to be) a wonderful borb. You're still a wonderful part of the community, mod or not, and ya always will be .
This was definitely a joke. The staff responses are definitely unrealistic and the reasoning just makes no sense.
Time to come clean, yeah smp8 independence was an April fool. I would like to thank LuckyGreenBird for using his demotion to add flavour to the joke.
