-1, sorry Tower. I like the idea, as a player (and a redstone addict). But when it comes to suggestions I try to go beyond that and also think about other sides. In this case: what profit would be left for EMC? I more than often get vouchers (I normally only get them through the website) in order to support that which I like so much. The times when I was a supported and didn't even go near Utopia... uh oh.. speaking of which Bottom line: with sales prices you have to keep costs in mind. I don't think $1 can cut it for the Empire, and even if it does I can't help state that I don't think it's a fair margin for them.
+1 Would love it. As someone who has been diamond, I can get by with $1 donations. Heck i would donate $12 for the whole year immediately. I think a Cash Donator status would be better, such as a perm perk. What i mean by that is a red name permanently. I like to stand out and while $5 for gold isnt much, I would love a cheaper option. I do like the red name too. Global chat is also a win-win.
But EMC sells Iron supporters for $5. The Redstone supporter isn't getting any daily rupees, no extra stable slots, nor ability to purchase extra vault pages. Simply a red name tag and the ability to chat outside of town. I think it would be worth at most $2 a month but a $1 seemed like the better choice. Yes but with more benefits than what i'm suggesting. This version is the best hope for a redstone supporters.
-1 I don't think there's a need for another supporter. Plus, we've all seen the crazy colored usernames on other servers. Let's keep it simple.
It was also declined as EMC is known for a clean chat, Adding more supporters/colors will not help that any better. It can also confuse players more...
It's not about the colored name. It's about the ability to chat. I don't care if the name is white or not. I'd just like to support EMC with the only perk of getting to use chat outside of town.
If thats all, they wont add it as its a Cosmetic perk for 3 supporters... Adding a 4th just for that will want others to add more for the reses, or tags/locations and much more...
If they added a new supporter rank, they should get rid of the chat perk for supporters. I wish emc made all players able to communicate in the wild/waste. So, if this suggestion transitions into this idea, I'm up for it.
There would be the chance that adding a cheaper supporter level would actually decrease the amount that EMC pulls in. Iron doesn't really have anything going for it other than the chat, so people who are iron may drop it for the cheaper version.
Maybe a better name for this should be a chat donation. Where if you are not a supporter but wish to donate $1+ your EMC account will be given the ability to use global chat. Without the use to use /c s. Just plain chat, no alerts unless you already had them from another supporter.
Dang it... That makes a lot of sense. Though Iron still would have perks that this supporter wouldn't. Like extra rupees, chat alerts, res loc, and that extra stable slot.
This is understandable, but id say +1 if it was like 3$, being unable to have global chat is annoying, you miss out on so much :/
