Now if Bob had some indication telling him which chat channel he was in, it may have helped him remember to change back to res chat. So I suggest that a PS setting is added that makes the action bar tell you the chat channel you're in. This message will never disappear until the PS setting is turned off. Now I also realize that the "Buildmode" warning, the "Teleport" message, the "You can only sleep at night" message in 1.11, and many others will appear here. For this I suggest that those messages should take priority over the chat channel message. The result should be that the "Buildmode" warning for example fades in and out over the chat channel message. It would also be cool if the messages were color-coded according to the chat you're currently in. Now I am not completely sure if this is doable, but if it is then this could be A really nifty addition to the Empire(Or at least I think it could be. ).
- 1/2 I agree. Most of my WC's (and boy do I make a lot) happen because I don't know the active channel. But I seriously do not want a permanent chat thingie to be in my display all the time. That's only going to be massively distracting I think. Still: /c who. That is enough to show you where you're at. Maybe they can shorten it to /c w ? But other than that, let's be honest: some WC's are plain out funny too
Yea, I completely get this, it's also why I was suggesting it should be a PS setting. That way the option is there if you like it, but not forced upon you... "/c who" tells you what chat channel your in? Will be trying that soon... 100% true...
Since we are discussing Player setting options, there could be a small confirmation before sending a message if it is enabled. Basically, sending a message opens a chest gui where the player clicks the channel they want it sent to. Obviously, disabled by default since it would otherwise confuse people.
