Dragon Heads are regular vanilla items, therefore have to be auctioned off in quantities of a DC according to the auction rules.

I thought that the head would be auctionable

Also, I see a misspell! Dragon Heads are mob heads, so you need 54 total mob heads (53 more for you) to auction it.

The egg is much different. Because it's so rare it would can be auctioned in any amount. As the head is a normal item, the DC limit is used.
