I suggest using the cost of materials to determine the price. Golden Apple: 8 Gold Ingots, 1 Apple - 369r Notch Apple: 72 Gold Ingots, 1 Apple - 3121r These are just the shop prices I noticed were somewhat off. Opinions?
Cost of materials with a small discount is what determines the price at /shop However, those prices were likely before the golden apple crafting change. I'll look into it.
Wrong, it will exist. Please do not get this confused. The notch apple will not be able to be crafted which is why the shop need to temporarily remove the notch apple until a stable price is found.
The normal golden apples will be removed from /shop until I replace with the updated prices this afternoon. The Notch apples will still be obtainable, just not craft-able, so we'll be removing them to allow the player market to determine the rising price, leading up to the 1.9 update. They will not be re-added because they will now fall under the same classification as nametags, horsearmor, etc that we do not sell in /shop. Edit: Half-ninja'd
