Greetings Minecraft community! Your ‘friendly’ chickeneer is starting a regular review of Client-side Modifications which could enhance your game-play experience outside of the bundled Minecraft releases from Mojang.
For the very First review I will be introducing the amazingness that is WorldEditCUI.
I would love to assume that all have heard of WorldEdit either as the plug-in to Minecraft servers or included in Single-Player-Commands; but to be safe: WorldEdit allows for quick creation, replacing, or even moving blocks by use of a few simple commands. I will leave it to another article elsewhere to go more in depth on this.
The WorldEditCUI visually shows selections while using your wand. Instead of hoping that the desired selection area is correct, I can be certain by actually looking and seeing that it is were I want.
The grid display works with all of the selection options bundled with WorldEdit such as cuboid, ellipsoid, polygons, or convex selection modes.
The selection mode can be changed by using the //sel command.
Ex: //sel sphere
Although no actual commands or features are added to WorldEdit, this mod does enable the user to make complex selections with more confidence simplifying the overall creation process.
After first use, this mod becomes a must-have for all future WorldEdit projects, and creates more opportunities to make minecraft a little less blocky.
The WorldEditCUI mod is currently developed by Mumfrey and uses liteloader.
More information including download and installation instructions can be found here.
If you liked what I had to say, send me a message! I would also love feedback on what you think I could change or do better. You can also message me regarding help with installation or general Mod help. I plan on doing these every week, so also let me know if you want me to do one earlier (rather than later). 😛
