With all the new items and features added for 1.8, there have been new customization’s for certain wood tools, such as fences and doors. These new customization’s have been added for a new variety of different wood planks types for your average day Minecraft usage. Along with the new wood category items, there is new crafting recipes for 1.8 to make a more diverse section of wooden blocks.
Doors:
The Minecraft block obtainable Door is found from villages and crafting. With two kinds of main doors, (iron, wood) they are resource pack friendly. Since 1.8, Mojang have added a sub genre of new types of wooden doors, including the new wooden planks added in the 1.7.2 update. These sub genre of new doors have been given their respective textures.
Along with the new textures, multiple Minecraft users found unique ways on how to use the latest doors, such as window shutters, dark oak closets, and more!
Fences and Fence Gates:
Besides the new textures, in 1.8, if you create the fence recipe, it rewards you with 3 fences instead of the 2 fences. The crafting table to create a fence has been changed for this to happen. The new fences (and fence gates) textures for all wooden planks are the same as their wood planks. Since there are multiple fences and gates, you can add multiple sorts of fences connected to each other to make an unique fencing.
There are many new concepts and ideas added to the table on what creative uses players can make out of the up to date wood items. From window shutters to scarecrows, there are many great uses for these wood items. Happy hunting!
