Gladranger, do you want to make a reply here and define exactly what you meant by 'this coming from a brit...?', because quite frankly I can't make sense of it. To clarify what I said, I'd also hardly call myself a 'Brit' - in both the modern day and pre-Anglo meanings, because I'm barely even English and the other cultures in the UK don't really agree with the notion of a British cultural union.

Seriously though - It is good to remember things so that we do not make mistakes over and over, but beating yourself up over the past doesn't fix anything. Use things you regret as lessons when possible and try to move forward in ways you think your future self will appreciate.

@Kerliris, Can confirm, mum is a teaching assistant in a school for disabled children. She does it because she wants the same holidays as her kids (I think she's realised I'm not going to be at home too often anymore lol) and she enjoys the work. That's at the expense of having a crap wage though.
