  1. Periodic reset already occurs... Look on the live map the second bigger square is where everything periodically resets... That's why it won't let you lock things there...
  2. I used to have tons of obsidian lying around. So I would bring a couple stacks and repair the roads. Long story short, people took the time to dig up the obsidian....
  3. Yellow zone aroundthe spawn.. Just reset

  4. Need it for the new ORE
I know some people is going to say go to black spots in the live map,BUT
    that is just too far
    too risky

  5. You dont need the new ore. Why is it important?

  6. Well is just fun to trade with the villagers
  7. Start getting paper. You can trade with them for emeralds. Villager trading will get old fast, and so its not worth it to reset just for the ore, especially since you can get emeralds from them.

  8. Now that's a good question...What do we do once all the ore has been found and used up?? I know that will take a LONG time before that happens, but I worry about these things lolol

  9. I haven't seen the periodic reset area get reset once. Is it not automatic?

  10. It isnt automatic:( But last i heard Aikar was working with Justin to make it run more smoothly and cause less down time!

  11. It's hard to associate the word, Periodic, with Reset if it's happened so little. How about Potential Reset Area?
  12. I am not sure if anyone has stated this, but even if they reset daily, the wild would still end up the crap load it is. Becuase guess what? Ignoring the fact most of it is in Mass Mining, the most people are going to be in the wild is the first day it is reset, cuase the abundance of materials. Also, just travel a few hundrend blocks. Then it is mostly fine.
  13. I can't speak for everyone else, but I only really care about the immediate area surrounding the spawns.

  14. I am the polar difference from you. I coud care less around the spawn, since I am never going to spend my time there. If I want resources, Ill go far out. And I dont want there to be a hole filled, material stripped place.
  15. lol they cant even do periodic resets.. why would they do this.. i am sorry but sheesh..
  16. See I'm not even talking about resources, I completely willing to spend a few more minutes walking further out to get to untouched ground. My main concern is just the state of the spawn area, considering that's what people first see when they go out there, particularly for new players.

It's a little frustrating knowing that people join the server and the first thing they see when heading into the wilderness is a chaotic wasteland. We should strive to maintain that immediate area to set a good impression for new players.

  17. Where I see the problem lie is not in the staff being lazy - as was stated previously. Obviously they are not. They do all of this wonderful work for us for free.

What I see - as someone with a strong background in business - is a very poor sense of priority.

This issues should be on or near the top of the priority list. It seems to be on the bottom. Things that make the game harder to play should be fixed before things that are secondary and extra.

  18. Well, eventually, they will. There will be some big thing, like a new generated structure. And they will need to. Besides, the wild has been reset before, and it had quite a large majority vote. The main people who would not are wild members, but the very terms of the wild state that it is unsafe. I guess it could hurt big shop owners a bit, becuase it could make prices go down a bit since there would be more stuff.
  19. Ya. I completly agree. I mean, we have issues that go months back, that are at the bottom of the line. It seems like the staffs main objective is to get new members, rather then to keep old ones.
  20. Omg I agree also ! these issues keep coming up and up several times and they dont even do anything.. they just keep putting new things out there seeming as we will forget about the old problems.. these issues need to be discussed and dealt with !
