I am pretty sure it's a setting in the ACP to remove guests from showing in who's online, most of them being bots, it's pointless to display them. I am talking about here: http://empireminecraft.com/online/ Damn it, I put quests in the title >.< ... too much WoW I think.
I like to check it, and see what members are doing, so when we have 4 pages of guests, it's annoying, and from a technical standpoint, loading the extra info, all be it small is extra work for the site. so, no it doesn't hurt per say, it's more convenient not too, why would you want to see what a bunch of bots are doing.
