Im sure this question has been asked before but i decided it was better to ask here than spamming the chat. So i go far out into the wilderness to mine untouched land. Is there any way to avoid walking/swimming 1000s of blocks back? like a portal? and in addition i was also wondering how beds work is there anyway to spawn to the without dying. Any answers are appreciated
You have to walk all the way back, there is no portals or anything besides the outposts to avoid walking back to the protected spawn. Bed's in this server are basically for show
I made a nether portal, it took me really near to the nether spawnarea. Just consider that: http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Nether_Portal#Behavior
Beds are used to set your spawn when you die so you can end up in your wild home when you die. You have to sleep in the bed first though.
