Topic ideas for a story?

  1. So, I'm entering a writing contest to have a chance to have my story published in a book along with other selected students. However, I have already scrapped 2 ideas after starting about 200 words in. Can someone hand me some suggestions for a topic that can be squashed into a 450 word story?
